Vehicles, Drivers and Identity

Vehicles and Identity

Your Whole Fleet and Every Driver in One Roster

Vehicles, drivers, and depots in one place, with the detail that charging decisions depend on.

One Roster for the Whole Operation

Everything SmartCharge needs to know about a vehicle to charge it well.

A real charging profile per vehicle

Every vehicle carries its AC and DC charging limits, DC charging curve, battery and usable capacity, efficiency, and connector type, so load management makes the right decisions.

Lifecycle and priority you control

Mark each vehicle active, in maintenance, or retired, and set its default target charge, minimum reserve, and priority.

Drivers and assignments

Invite drivers and assign each vehicle to a driver, an RFID token, and a home depot and stall. Drivers see their assigned vehicle and its next ready-by time.

Onboard the fleet from a spreadsheet

Import vehicles from a CSV template. A dry run checks every row before anything is saved, and VIN decoding suggests the make, model, and battery details. Drivers, RFID tokens, and phase counts can come in the same file.

Know Which Vehicle Is Charging

Accurate per-vehicle attribution is what makes scheduling, cost, and carbon reporting trustworthy. Each session is matched to a vehicle in this order, and anything unmatched is flagged.

Plug and Charge

Enrolled fleet vehicles authenticate over the cable with an ISO 15118 contract certificate issued by SmartCharge. No card to lose or share.

RFID token

Assign a token to each vehicle. Removing a token blocks it, so a lost card stops working right away.

Depot stall

Fix a vehicle to a home stall so sessions at that charger are attributed to it automatically.

Driver

When a driver with one assigned vehicle starts a session remotely, the session is attributed to that vehicle.

Built on Open Standards

SmartCharge works with the chargers you run today, without tying you to one vendor.

+

OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1

Chargers are managed over OCPP 1.6 and OCPP 2.0.1, AC and DC, from different vendors in the same depot.

+

ISO 15118

Plug and Charge for enrolled fleet vehicles, and departure times reported by the vehicle over OCPP 2.0.1.

+

Secure charger connections

OCPP security profiles 1 to 3, with TLS and client certificates for chargers that support them.

Every vehicle known, every session attributed.
