Our Story
We started SmartCharge in 2020 with a simple idea: EV charging software should follow the open standards that chargers and vehicles already speak, and it should be specific about what it does.
Today SmartCharge is focused on fleets: keeping every vehicle ready for its route, inside the site's electrical limits, at the lowest energy cost. The same platform runs public charging for charge point operators and cities, and lets fleet depots take part in demand response.

OCPP, ISO 15118, OCPI and OpenADR, so customers choose hardware and partners on their merits.

Limits that hold at the charger, plans checked before they are sent, and conservative handling when something is unknown.

Load management is proven on a simulated depot, with faults injected on purpose, before it reaches a real one.
